Hi! I'm Amy.
I wish I could tell you I woke up one day and decided to start a Facebook Ads Agency that went from zero to a million dollars overnight — but my success wasn't so blockbuster. Not even close.
Eight years ago, I quit my job with no clients and no idea what I was doing. What I had was a basic knowledge of Facebook Ads and a deep belief there was huge potential to start my own business running ads for other people. So I did.
And I did ALL of the things they tell new business owners to do to get clients. I spent a bunch of money on a fancy website (that I actually hated). I wrote blog posts no one read. I went to some pretty awkward networking events. I posted all over social media, with most of my likes coming from my mom and best friend.
The results? Crickets. No clients. No money. Nothing. Zero. Zilch. Nada. Even with all that hustle, for 6 months I was stuck and spinning.
At that point maybe I should have packed up my laptop and gone back to the day-job grind. But as an Ads Manager, I know it all comes down to testing and optimizing. So I did my own experiment: I stopped doing all the things I thought I had to do and started doing things my way. I gave myself 6 weeks to find 5 clients — or I was going to have to get a J-O-B.
That little experiment changed everything. I booked my first client and charged $600/month to run ads for an eComm store. I eventually took that client to over $250K/month in ad spend and generated over $5 million in sales. Then I booked another client. And another. Before I knew it I made $3,500 that month — more than I made in my previous full-time job, and way more than I made in the previous 6 months combined.
It took a lot of hard work to build the business I have today. I got stuck. I almost gave up more times than I can count. I made every mistake along the way. But that doesn't mean you have to make those same mistakes.
